Laurel Mintz
Founder of Fabric VC.
Los Angeles, CA
"Laurel Mintz is the founder and General Partner of Fabric VC, a seed-stage venture fund focused on investing in diverse founders and companies in consumer tech, digital health, fintech, and future-of-work spaces. She created the fund to address systemic disparities in venture capital, where traditional funding historically flows to a narrow set of founders, and to leverage her decades of experience in marketing and entrepreneurship to identify and support high-potential startups with mission-aligned capital.
Prior to founding Fabric VC, Laurel built and led Elevate My Brand, an award-winning marketing agency where she worked with hundreds of companies — from startups to global brands like Facebook, Verizon Digital Media, Geico, PAW Patrol and Zendesk — helping them refine strategy, grow visibility, and scale effectively. With a J.D./M.B.A. from Rutgers University and more than 16 years of leadership experience, she blends creative insight with venture capital expertise to empower underrepresented founders and elevate innovation.
Laurel is recognized for her commitment to equity in investing, has been honored as a Champion Investor at the Stella Awards, and her work continues to shape a more inclusive future for founders and funders alike by combining operational rigor, marketing intelligence, and community-centered leadership."

Her story:
“Making change possible”.
A passionate leader helping women raise capital.
Behind her professional success is a formative personal journey that shaped her leadership style and purpose. When her father became seriously ill, she was thrust into an unexpected role, stepping in as CEO of a national furniture company during a critical moment. With little room for error and everything at stake, she stabilized and ultimately rescued the business, navigating high-pressure decisions while balancing profound personal responsibility.
That experience became a turning point. It deepened her passion for building resilient businesses and ignited a lifelong commitment to helping women step confidently into leadership, especially when circumstances demand courage before comfort. Today, that perspective informs everything she does, from scaling brands and backing founders to mentoring women determined to turn ambition into reality.
